Job summary

Greenleaf Apothecaries, a Canopy USA, LLC subsidiary, is seeking a Dispensary Associate to interact with customers, educate them, and support inventory and cash management. The role includes cross-training in order fulfillment, product information entry, and contacting customers for requests.

A comprehensive benefits package is provided. Responsibilities include delivering outstanding service, ensuring accuracy in POS transactions, and adhering to state regulations and confidentiality policies

Qualifications

  • Proficient verbal and written communication with customers.
  • Dependable team player with strong work ethic.
  • Experience in fast-paced customer service preferred.
  • Medical Marijuana knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service in person and by phone.
  • Process POS transactions accurately and verify order accuracy.
  • Resolve inquiries professionally and escalate as needed.
  • Perform end-of-day POS closing procedures and report variances.
  • Follow SOPs, regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and sanitize tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About the Role: Dispensary Associate

The Dispensary Associate is responsible for interacting with, educating, and advising customers face-to-face and by phone, record-keeping, assisting with inventory and cash management and interacting with local service providers. The Dispensary Associate will be cross‑trained in all order fulfillment activities which include preparing orders, entering product information, calling customers with product requests, checking ID’s and admitting customers. How you’ll make a difference:
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers and communicate in a positive and friendly manner in person and on the phone.
  • Accurately process all point-of-sale transactions and verify order accuracy.
  • Resolve customer inquiries with professionalism while diffusing stressful situations. Partner with a member of management for assistance as needed to ensure high standard of customer service.
  • Perform end‑of‑day closing procedures in POS system & investigate any variances at the end of shift. Report any variances to closing manager to ensure effective communication & resolution.
  • Comply with standard operating procedures and State regulations as well as adhering to patient confidentiality and Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean & organized working environment and assist team in sanitizing work area and tools (phone, keyboard etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills to be Successful:
Education and Experience:
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Dependable team player with great work ethic and ability to work 2-3 Saturdays per month.
  • Experience in a fast paced customer service role preferred.
  • Medical Marijuana knowledge a plus.
Computers and Technology:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn, navigate and accurately utilize the company’s Point of Sale & Patient data management software systems.
Schedule:
  • Night and weekend availability.
  • Subject to change as business needs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to work quickly but efficiently, while maintaining the integrity of the product.
  • Light to moderate lifting of up to 50 lbs; heavier weights with assistance.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must adhere to facility general hygiene requirements.
  • Capacity to stay focused on the task at hand.
