Best-Block in Abilene, TX is looking for a Dispatcher to join our logistics team. You will set up loads with outside carriers, monitor pickups, and ensure on-time freight delivery while adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires solid Excel skills and experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS). You will collaborate with drivers and carrier teams to maintain high service levels and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Dispatching Trucks.
• Strong Excel skills for tracking progress and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and drivers.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and GPS.
• Understanding of DOT safety and freight delivery impact.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up loads with outside carriers for on-time delivery.
• Monitor on-time pickup and en-route progress with drivers.
• Coordinate with drivers and carrier dispatchers to resolve issues.
• Adhere to company policies and DOT safety regulations.
• Utilize TMS and GPS tools when trained.
• Ensure carriers report en-route as required.
• Maintain clear, concise reporting for management.
• Work to improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
