The role emphasizes timely pickups, safe operations, and meeting revenue and mileage goals while using satellite tracking and TMW dispatch software.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills, be multi-task oriented, and possess prior dispatching experience in the transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
• Excellent communication and computer skills required.
• Experience with dispatching CDL-A drivers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, dispatch and manage CDL-A drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Assist with and enforce driver ELD/HOS compliance and company policy.
• Interface with central dispatch, customer service and customers.
• Promote driver safety and safe work place performance.
• Interface with and update computer trucking systems.
• Evaluate driver performance and compliance.

Flint, MI: Driver Manager/Dispatcher - 1st shift

Martin Transportation Systems, is seeking highly qualified Dispatcher/Driver Managers for our Flint, MI dispatch operations. The individuals selected will dispatch and manage CDL-A drivers on dedicated, “JIT', round trip loads while safely meeting revenue and mileage goals for drivers and equipment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and computer skills (satellite tracking and TMW dispatch software), be multi-task oriented, and enjoy a fast paced work environment. Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration preferred. MTS offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package with an excellent working environment.

Driver Manager/Dispatcher Essential Functions

• Overseeing, coordinating, dispatching and managing CDL-A drivers to ensure timely pick up and delivery of all truckload shipments from vendors to auto assembly plants or other locations
• Assist with and enforce driver electronic log compliance to HOS regulations and company policy
• Interface with other central dispatch staff, customer service and customers
• Promote driver safety and safe work place performance
• Interfacing and updating computer trucking systems
• Evaluate driver performance and compliance

Driver Manager/Dispatcher Qualifications

• Shift: 1st
• Candidates must possess excellent skills in communication, computer applications, and be multi-task oriented
• Previous dispatching experience in the transportation industry preferred
