Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Dispatcher to support ground medical transport operations across the United States. You will receive requests, initiate the mobilization of teams, and coordinate with referring hospitals to ensure rapid, safe patient transport.

The role requires data entry during calls, documentation, and effective communication with patients of all ages. IAED certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must fulfill yearly continuing education requirements of the department.
• Must complete orientation for various procedures and other in-service as required.
• IAED - Certified Dispatcher required within six months from date of hire.

Department Details Summary Responsible for receiving requests for ground medical transport, initiating the mobilization of the appropriate teams, communicating with referring hospitals/services, map reading, math skills and documentation.

Job Description Perform data entry using the computer and typing any other documentation as assigned. Remain flexible for staffing patterns, maintain a sense of pride and ownership for the program, perform data entry at the time of call, work with people in phone conversations involving pediatric to geriatric ages of patients.

Qualifications Must fulfill yearly continuing education requirements of the department. Must complete orientation for various procedures and other in-service as required. International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) - Certified Dispatcher required within six months from date of hire.
