Job summary

First Student is hiring a Dispatcher to coordinate bus routes, dispatch vehicles, and ensure on-time performance. You will counsel drivers, manage heavy phone and radio traffic, and liaise with major customers to resolve issues and improve service.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment.

  • Previous terminal operations, dispatch, or driver experience.
  • Computer literate and proficient with basic software.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.
  • DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 restrictions apply.

  • Provides solutions to drop-off and pick-up problems.
  • Performs back-up driver duties and miscellaneous clerical tasks.
  • Completes assignment of special projects and assists day-to-day operations.
