The University of Utah is seeking a Dispatcher for its Campus in Illinois. The role involves providing dispatch services, managing phone calls, and relaying information. Successful candidates will be skilled in communication, capable of multi-tasking under pressure, and experienced in using computer systems.
This position requires handling emergencies, maintaining logs, and assisting the public. Qualifications include six months of related experience or adequate education. A criminal background check may be required.

Provides dispatch services for assigned department. Uses a multi-line telephone system to receive and relay information to appropriate units. Creates and logs incident reports.
Dispatchers must question callers to obtain sufficient information to notify responsible parties in emergency situations and conduct confidential information searches as requested. They need to maintain priorities while handling multiple calls and think clearly under stressful conditions.
This position may require the successful completion of a criminal background check and/or drug screen.
