Job summary

QXO is seeking a logistics professional to schedule daily deliveries and coordinate drivers across assigned routes in the U.S. Northeast. You will ensure safety compliance, manage transfers between branches, and optimize loads while adhering to DOT regulations and GPS data.

• Experience in logistics and distribution, dispatching a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all deliveries daily for assigned area.
• Plan, organize, coordinate and schedule Drivers and Helpers for optimum efficiency.
• Adhere to and educate operations staff on all safety policies.
• Provide superior service to internal and external customers.
• Manage Material Transfers between branches in the region.
• Manage truck load within DOT regulations and GPS data.
• Demonstrate daily commitment to safety and wear PPE.
• Maintain OSHA regulations and union contracts where applicable.
• Ensure safe and reliable vehicles and forklifts are available.
• Maintain a Continuous Improvement Log with Regional Operations Manager.

What you'll do:

• Schedule all deliveries daily for assigned area
• Plan, organize, coordinate and schedule Drivers and Helpers for optimum efficiency
• Adhere to and educate operations staff on all QXO safety policies
• Provides superior service to all internal and external customers
• Manage Material Transfers between branches in the region
• Manage truck load within DOT regulations and GPS Data
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE
• Maintain adherence to OSHA regulations and union contracts (where applicable)
• Ensure safe and reliable vehicles and forklifts are available to meet operational requirements
• Maintain a Continuous Improvement Log by working with the Regional Operations Manager to address compliance, identify and resolve issues efficiently

What you'll bring:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Competence in operating all types of trucks and lifts
• Effective time management and customer relations skills
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements
• Familiarity with the local area to facilitate well-routed deliveries
• Experience in logistics and distribution
• Prior experience in a dispatching role is a plus
• Preferred experience in the building products industry
• Bilingual proficiency is preferred
