Job summary

UPS is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to assist and review Small Package dispatch activity, ensuring timely service, safety, and cost goals. You will coordinate with teams to optimize staffing, equipment, and load movements, while monitoring trailers, yard operations, and performance metrics.

The role involves planning, reviewing reports, incorporating new customers, and driving continuous improvement in dispatch operations. Strong communication and warehouse experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs/32 kgs.
• Flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews dispatch activity and ensures timely service.
• Coordinates with drivers and staff to support dispatch plans.
• Oversees load and tractor planning and assignments.
• Monitors equipment and trailer inventory.
• Reviews service reports and adjusts plans for new loads.
• Assists with yard operations and staffing levels.
• Provides feedback and coaching as needed.
