JOB SUMMARY
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for processing all internal and external phone calls and radio transmissions. This position is responsible for communicating directly to emergency medical, fire, and security personnel as well as maintaining a radio log and detailed daily and incident reports, and supporting the manufacturing process by coordinating operations across multiple departments.

SHIFT SCHEDULE: This position may include working either 5am to 5pm, or 5pm to 5am.
Distinguishing Characteristics
Duties include answering incoming telephone and radios communications, acquiring pertinent information, and dispatching first responders. Maintain daily activity logs and reports for all incidents. Report to supervisors and client leadership of daily activities.

- Answers incoming emergency telephone and radio communications and acquire pertinent information for dispatching first responders.
- Dispatch appropriate fire, medical, security, or local agencies to emergency situations.
- Maintain the status of all security, medical, and fire personnel. Maintain a daily log of activity and reports of all incidents.
- Monitors fire and other various alarm systems throughout the plant. Responsible for operating the plant wide PA system, take cover and evacuation tones. Monitors the plant’s closed circuit camera systems.
- Organizes the plant wide system for maintenance, hot-works, and confine spaced work.
- Assist all client member calls by giving the appropriate directions.
- Prepares logs or reports as required for site; writes or types reports or enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes action as required.
- Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
- Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with Client/FTZ standards; identifies client products or materials among items carried by client employees or visitors.
- Communicates with supervisors and client through written reports, telephone, and radio communication.
- Can stand and walk as necessary for the duration of the shift.
- Carries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
- Performs any “other” client/company specified duties.

Education/Experience
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D

- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.

- Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
