Job summary

Capitol Materials Coastal, Inc. is seeking an assistant dispatcher to support the Dispatcher/Operations Manager in directing orders and coordinating deliveries to customers.

The role requires at least 2 years of dispatching experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and with a team. The position involves coordinating warehousing, shipping, and safety programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of dispatching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team.
• Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
• Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements and enforces adherence to requirements.
• Completes warehouse/delivery requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Coordinates with personnel to ensure that service to the customer meets an acceptable standard and generates positive feedback.
• Ensures compliance with the Safety and Loss Control Program.
• Cooperates with Safety director and GMS Risk Management representatives in the investigation and analysis of potential hazards to enforce methods and reduce losses of claims.
