Job summary

The Walt Disney Company’s Disneyland Resort is offering a full-time Quality Engineering internship for six months in Anaheim, CA, January through June 2027. As part of the Worldwide Safety Assurance team, you will help ensure attractions comply with applicable standards and support varied projects across the engineering organization.

You will assist with data, participate in meetings, perform field observations, and help develop compliant processes while gaining hands-on experience in safety

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student pursuing Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be available for a full-time six-month commitment in Anaheim, CA from January to June 2027.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have unrestricted work authorization.
  • Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist WSA quality engineers on projects related to predicted safety in attractions and entertainment offerings.
  • Lead meetings on sub-topics to support project goals.
  • Perform field work in attractions for project research and data collection.

About the Role & Program:

The Worldwide Safety Assurance (WSA) team ensures that all Disneyland Resort attractions are in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. In addition, we manage special projects that may be rolled out at Disneyland Resort, our Domestic Parks, or our Parks around the world. You will have a wide range of opportunities to assist and provide key data to various Trades on a variety of project types.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Anaheim, CA area.

The approximate dates of this internship are January - June 2027.

Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

You Will Do:

As a Quality Engineering intern, you will have the unique opportunity to assist with a variety of projects within our engineering department.

On any given day you might:

  • Assist WSA Quality Engineers on special projects related to predicted safety in registered and non-registered attractions and entertainment offerings.
  • Lead meetings on sub-topics in support of project goals.
  • Perform field work in attractions for project research.
  • Review and assess alignment of key documentation used by Maintenance, Engineering, QA, and Operations.
  • Assist in the development of compliance-related processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership skills, displays outgoing and sociable characteristics.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision
  • Professional demeanor, focused, articulate and well organized

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

It would be great if you have/are familiar with:

  • Prior related work experience is desired, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on Analytics, Safety, and/or Safety Auditing.
  • Prior related or experience working with Data Science.
  • Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated proven initiative - able to balance multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Education:

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering majors.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding)

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years ofage
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information:

  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines (for DX)
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available Monday thru Friday, PST for the duration of the internship,40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, CA area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Pay Transparency: The pay rate for this role as an undergraduate in CA is $30.00 /hr. The pay rate for this role as a graduate student in CA is $35.00/hr.
