Job summary

Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA is offering an Architecture & Facility Engineering Services internship. You will assist project engineers across civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical disciplines, including drafting, on-site documentation and design coordination.

The program runs January through June 2027. Interns must be available full-time (40 hours per week) and be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering with GPA 3.0+ (no rounding).
  • Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM in internship contexts is desirable.
  • Strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project engineers across civil, structural, mechanical, piping and electrical disciplines.
  • Drafting, on-site as-built documentation, design coordination, field data collection, and light design/production work.
  • Support construction administration, commissioning and closeout activities for diverse projects.

You will have a wide range of opportunities to assist and provide key data to A&FES Architects and Engineers on various types of projects including Attractions, Maintenance, Foods, Merchandise and Entertainment.

The approximate dates of this internship are January - June 2027.
Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
This Internship is in Anaheim, CA.
What You Will Do:
Assist project Engineers – Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical, in all phases of project work, from drafting, on-site as-built documentation, design coordination with outside design consultants, field data collection, light design / production work, construction administration, commissioning, and closeout documentation for a variety of projects ranging in scope from minor rehabs to building new facilities.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience working with AutoCAD, REVIT and/or BIM (Building Information Modeling).
  • Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative - able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Prior related work experience is desired, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on architecture, engineering, or construction.
  • Coursework or prior work experience in Power Plant design(Chilling plants, Boiling plants).
  • Coursework or prior work experience in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Design.
  • Coursework or prior work experience in Thermo , Fluid Dynamics, Chiller and Boiler plant and/or Thermodynmapics/Fluid Flow.
Education:
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding)
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information:
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available Monday thru Friday, PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, CA area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Pay Transparency: The pay rate for this role as an undergraduate in CA is $30.00 /hr. The pay rate for this role as a graduate student in CA is $35.00/hr.
