Job summary

Disney Live Entertainment offers a full-time six-month internship in Orlando, FL, from January 2027 to June 2027, focusing on Character Programs and Development Content Creation. The role centers on creating and maintaining documentation for Character costumes and related media, under the Manager, Character Content.

You will work closely with Subject Matter Experts, handle media content, and ensure documentation accuracy, with opportunities for training materials development and design tasks.

Qualifications

• Have a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

About the Role & Program

The Character Programs and Development Content Creation Team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of written and visual costume documentation materials used to sustain the quality, integrity, and overall operational use of Character costumes worldwide. We ensure that all applicable End Users have access to accurate and consistent content, informed by Subject Matter Experts, that is continuously updated throughout the life of each Character.

If selected to be part of the team, you will report to the Manager, Character Content.

This is a full-time 6-month internship from January 2027 to June 2027, located Orlando, FL.

What You Will Do

• Develop applicable Character specific documentation materials in support of new Character development projects
• Update, maintain, and audit existing documentation
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts to gather documentation content
• Assist in the capture of all necessary supporting photo and video media content for inclusion in the documentation materials
• Edit Character photos in support of Documentation and Performance Training Materials

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Exceptional organizational skills, including attention to detail, creative thinking, content layout, cataloging, and tracking
• Basic knowledge and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
• Basic knowledge and experience with photo editing, word processing, page layout, formatting, templates, spreadsheets, and presentation programs
• Experience and demonstrated proficiency in both written and verbal communication
• Ability to prioritize work with excellent follow through meeting tight project deadlines
• Ability to adhere to a high level of confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in live entertainment and/or entertainment costuming
• Prior experience with developing training materials
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom
• Experience with graphic design with a strong understanding of design principles
• Familiarity with the Walt Disney Company and its Characters
• Multi-lingual (French, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish)

Education

• Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or graduate student
• Major in Digital Media, Theatre, Fashion Design, Costuming, Creative Writing and Web Design

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Possess a valid U.S. driver's license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
