Job summary

Portland Tractor Inc. in Washougal, WA is seeking a Dismantler to safely dismantle heavy equipment using hand and power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting gear. This onsite role offers a stable, hands-on environment and a chance to develop specialized skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in equipment service and maintenance is strongly preferred.
• Enrollment in or completion of a trade or vocational school is considered an asset.
• Must own hand and power tools needed to complete machine dismantling tasks.
• Strong mechanical ability.
• Ability to follow factory processes for dismantling equipment.
• A willingness to complete required training.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow safety rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Wear required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as needed.
• Use rigging equipment and lifting gear to safely remove and transport components.
• Use pin presses, hammers and jacks to remove attachments and frames from machinery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
• Communicate with management on job completion and assignments.

The Opportunity

Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for a Dismantler to join our team in Washougal, Washington. As the Dismantler you will safely dismantle heavy equipment using hand and power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting gear.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Dismantle heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow safety rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

The base pay range for this role is: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
