Job summary

Aramark is seeking a General Utility Worker in Detroit to help maintain cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and work areas. This entry-level role focuses on sanitation and safety while supporting our hospitality teams.

You may be asked to perform light maintenance and custodial tasks, always upholding a positive attitude toward guests and coworkers. Responsibilities include maintaining dishwashing station cleanliness, reporting equipment issues, and adhering to all safety and PPE policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic sanitation and food safety practices.
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures when handling chemicals.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment and kitchen utensils.
• Keep dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas clean.
• Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition; report issues to management.
• Perform other light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude toward guests and coworkers.
• Follow Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.
