EverTrue is seeking a Dishwashing Associate to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, handling china, glassware, and utensils with machine and manual methods. The role ensures work areas remain clean, safe, and sanitary while supporting kitchen operations.

The position involves a range of dishwashing and general cleaning duties, with a pay grade of $15.00 to $20.00 per hour and opportunities for benefits for part-time/full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and assignments.
• Must be patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.
• Must have or be willing to receive a hepatitis A vaccine if working inside St. Louis County.

Responsibilities

• Set up or break down dishwashing area.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glasses, tableware, and other cooking utensils.
• Place rinsed items in racks to send through dishwashing machine.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Dry dishes per department procedure.
• Carry clean dishes to storage areas and rewash as needed.
• Change dishwater and/or sinks as instructed.
• Notify manager if dish machine wash or rinse temperatures fall below safety standards.
• Clean dish machine as instructed.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Clean and roll/unroll mats.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep/mop floors.
• Sweep up trash as instructed.
• General cleaning as directed.
• Wipe spills to ensure safety.
• Deep cleaning as assigned.

Summary:

The Dishwashing Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures that designated work areas are maintained as clean, safe and sanitary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Dishwashing Duties:

1. Set up or break down dishwashing area.
2. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glasses, tableware, and other cooking utensils.
3. Place rinsed items in racks to send through dishwashing machine.
4. Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
5. Sort and stack clean dishes.
6. Allow dishes and other items to dry in accordance with the department’s established practice and procedure.
7. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
8. Change dishwater in dishwashing machine and/or sinks as instructed
9. Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
10. Clean dish machine as instructed

General Kitchen Duties:

1. Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
2. Clean and roll/unroll mats
3. Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
4. Sweep/mop floors
5. Sweep up trash as instructed
6. Conduct generalcleaning as directed
7. Wipe up any spills to ensure safety
