Meriwether Godsey, Inc. is hiring a Dishwasher/Utility Steward in Newtown, PA. The role is available as full-time and part-time, with hours 6a-2p on weekdays for full-time and 7a-1:30p or 2:30p-7:30p for part-time, including weekends.

Pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities at a school dining facility. The Utility Steward will maintain kitchen sanitation, set up dishwashing areas, and ensure safe food handling and service.

• Prior dishwashing experience (1 year preferred).

Mansioni

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots and pans; scrape, separate and organize items.
• Record dish-machine temperatures and report any malfunctions or low temps immediately.
• Transport supplies and assist in setting up dining and serving areas.
• Keep cafeteria areas clean during and after meals and replenish them to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Set up and use a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing cookware.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria areas; sweep, mop floors, take out trash.
• Assist with receiving and storing food and food preparation following food safety procedures.
• Perform all duties according to food safety and sanitation best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Dishwasher/Utility Steward

Newtown, PA, US

Salary Range: $17.00 To $19.00 Hourly

Meriwether Godsey is looking for Full-time and Part-time Dishwasher/Utility Steward'sresponsible for maintaining the sanitation of the kitchen, cafeteria, and dining room at George School, a boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 in Newtown, PA.

• Full-time: Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 6a-2p. Must be able to work weekends (Saturday or Sunday).
• Part-time:7a-1:30p or 2:3p-7:30p. Must be able to work weekends (Saturday or Sunday).
• Pay range:$17-$19 per hour

What the Utility Steward will do:

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize items
• Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediately
• Transport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areas
• Clean cafeteria areas throughout and after meal periods and replenish them to ensure service without interruption
• Set up and use a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trash
• Assist with receiving and storing food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safety
• Perform all duties according to food safety and sanitation best practices
• Other duties, as assigned
  

What the Utility Steward will need:

• Must be able to pass an FBI background check
  
• Prior dishwashing experience (1 year preferred)
• Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment

• Reliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environment
• Ability to stand/move about for long periods and lift 25 lbs.
