Job Responsibilities
- Ensure dishes are sanitized and available as needed.
- Maintain sanitation solutions in accordance with company codes.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment properly.
- Polish silver and copper items.
- Assist in inventory management of china, glassware, and silverware.
- Organize pots, pans, and utensils appropriately.
- Properly store dish dollies, glass racks, and flatware.
- Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and orderly.
- Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, and refrigerators.
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Work diligently to prevent breakage and loss of items.
- Ensure all dishes and utensils are properly stocked and stored.
Guest Service and Communication
- Offer a warm and sincere welcome and farewell to all guests, including using guest names when possible and maintaining good eye contact.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of amenities and any special events.
- Interact professionally with staff and assist other departments when necessary.
- Attend mandatory monthly department meetings and other relevant meetings.
- Work closely with the Banquet Events team and assist with necessary tasks.
Safety and Professionalism
- Maintain awareness of safety issues (e.g., broken glass, electrical hazards, leaks, suspicious persons) and report incidents promptly.
- Handle company property, supplies, and equipment responsibly.
- Report to work on time as per the schedule.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and colleagues.
