Job summary

Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. In this role you will help maintain clean, sanitized dining and kitchen areas while supporting a warm, resident-centered environment.

You’ll wash dishes by hand or with the dishwasher, manage waste safely, and follow food-safety standards. No prior experience required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. Weekend and holiday availability is a must.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older.
• Dependable, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Previous customer service experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep work areas, equipment, plateware, and utensils sparkling clean, sanitized, and well-organized.
• Ensure all dinnerware and food service equipment is maintained and easy to access.
• Wash pots, pans, trays, and other kitchen items by hand or using the dishwasher.
• Safely remove trash and garbage to the designated disposal area.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Engage with residents in a respectful, friendly manner while providing exceptional food service.
