Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring immediately for part-time dishwasher positions in San Francisco, CA 94105. Shifts run Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM or 4:30 PM, with a fixed pay rate of $32.60 per hour.

Prior dishwashing machine operation experience is preferred, and online applications are accepted only. Maintains dishes, kitchen areas and equipment in sanitary condition, following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing machine operation experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods during shifts.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes by hand or uses the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays and maintains cleanliness of the dish area.
• Polishes silverware and maintains sanitation of work surfaces.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintains correct temperatures and chemical levels as per standards.
• Keeps dish area organized and safe.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet safety standards.
• Removes trash and handles waste as required.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with loading/unloading supplies and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
