Job summary

JOEY Restaurants in Dallas is seeking a motivated Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will set up the dish area, wash dishes, and stock equipment, while maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace that supports guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clean, polish, and break down the dish machine; change the dishwater periodically.
• Wash dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and other equipment and stock them.
• Maintain sanitation practices and ensure safe, sanitary dish area per health codes.
• Monitor dish machine temperatures and sanitizer levels to meet safety standards.
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to support the kitchen team.

Duties

• Set up, clean, polish, and break down the dish machine; change the dishwater periodically.
• Wash dishes, cutlery, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other equipmentthen stock and organize to their designated areas.
• Exercise required sanitation practices for dish handling bymaintainingthe dish area in a clean, sanitary, and safe mannerwhilecomplying withall required food handling and workplace safety procedures.
• Monitor the dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles do not fall below safety standard temperatures.
• Ensure the temperatures and ppm levels of sanitizers in the dish machine and sinks alwayscomply withhealth code.
• Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for successand support the kitchen team as needed.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines for safe usage ofkitchen equipment and cleaning compounds. Report anyequipment problems and maintenance issues to leadershipimmediately.
• Follow all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
• Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; and lift and carry up to 50lbs.
