Assets, Inc. in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a Dishwasher II to support kitchen and dining operations by cleaning dishes and assisting with light janitorial duties at the Providence contract site.

This full-time role offers 30-40 hours per week with varied schedules, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Compensation is $17.75 per hour, with voluntary medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, and a 401k with match.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment manually or using dish machines.
• Operate dishwashing equipment, including loading and unloading racks.
• Sort dishes, glassware, and silverware by type.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas.
• Perform light janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and cleaning restrooms.
• Bus tables and keep service areas stocked and organized.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and food sanitation guidelines.
• Complete required food handler training and company trainings.
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
• Previous dishwashing, janitorial, or food service experience preferred
• Ability to follow simple instructions and complete assigned tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and cleaning tools
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and cleaning chemicals (MSDS)
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks

Work Environment

• Exposure to wet conditions, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment
• Fast-paced environment with moderate to loud noise levels
