Chartwells Higher Ed at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK is hiring for full-time and part-time DISHWASHER positions. The role includes cleaning dishes, pots, and prep areas, with shifts from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, plus evenings.

Pay ranges from $11.50 to $12.50 per hour with meals during shifts and uniform provisions. We offer training, slip-resistant shoes, and a supportive team environment; applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and online only.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash by hand or use machine.
• Wash pots, pans and trays and ensure cleanliness.
• Polish silver using specified methods and maintain sanitation.
• Maintain safety procedures and chemical levels as standards dictate.
• Keep dish area orderly and comply with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and manage waste.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Load/unload supplies and perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Northwestern Oklahoma State University

• We are hiring immediately for full time and part time DISHWASHER positions.
• Address: 709 Oklahoma Boulevard, Alva, OK 73717. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time and part time schedules; Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, weekend shifts, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and evenings, 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior dishwashing experience is preferred; may be exposed to hot, humid, or wet working conditions as part of normal job duties.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
