Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining is hiring for a full-time Dishwasher in Savannah, GA at Savannah Christian Prep School. The role maintains dishes, pots, pans, and prep areas in sanitary condition and supports daily kitchen operations.

The position offers paid time off, holiday pay, sick pay, uniforms and daily meals, with opportunities for internal referrals. Hours are Monday through Friday, with variation by interview details, and on-site work at a school dining facility.

Qualifications

• Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas in sanitary condition.
• Washes pots, pans and trays following procedures to ensure cleanliness.
• Polishes silver using prescribed equipment and chemicals.
• Upholds safety procedures and standards in the kitchen.
• Maintains proper temperatures and chemical levels as outlined.
• Keeps dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to maintain sanitation.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and transfers supplies between areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Polishes silver using burnishing machine and other equipment to keep items clean and safe.
• Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures in all tasks.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as required by standards.
• Keeps dish area clean, neat and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet sanitation requirements.
• Washes prep surfaces, tables and walls for cleanliness.
• Removes trash and transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with loading/unloading supplies and product as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

Summary: Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
