Job summary

Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring for a dishwashing role at George Fox University Cafe in Newberg, OR. This full‑time position involves evening and night shifts, weekends, and is eligible for training. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $16.75 per hour with benefit offerings for eligible staff.

Previous kitchen experience is preferred. Training is available to the right candidate. Referral bonuses may be available for internal employees.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes; wash by hand or in racks or in the dishwasher. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays as assigned; maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing tools; ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels per standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and safe.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and prep surfaces.
• Remove trash, place in designated containers, steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas; load/unload supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Location: George Fox University Cafe – 1400 East North Street, Newberg, OR 97132.

Schedule: Full time, evening and night shifts, weekends required. Days may vary. More details upon interview.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $16.75 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes; wash by hand or place in racks or conveyor to dishwashing machine as assigned. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine, tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth as assigned. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash, place in designated containers, steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
