Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a dedicated dishwasher/kitchen helper to support our dining operations. This full-time role involves cleaning, washing dishes, and maintaining sanitary kitchen spaces in a healthcare-setting environment.

Qualified applicants will be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work shifts from 8am-3pm or 12pm-8pm. We value reliability, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Self-starter and able to work independently.
• Able to communicate in an interdisciplinary team.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, and move frequently.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs. and push or pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots and cleaning duties as assigned.
• Wash all utensils, chinaware, eating utensils, and glassware for dining room resets.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen areas per cleaning schedules.
• Clean dish room, including washing floor mats, draining and cleaning dishwasher, and shining stainless steel.
• Sweep and mop dish room, kitchen floors, storage areas and other kitchen areas.

Job Description

Schedule: Full Time, Open Availability for Shifts 8am-3pm and 12pm -8pm

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• perform necessary responsibility for dish and pot washing, and general cleaning duties
• wash all utensils, chinaware, eating utensils, and glassware for reset of dining room
• clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
• clean dish room, including washing floor mats, draining and cleaning dishwasher and shining stainless steel.
• sweep and mop dish room, kitchen floors, storage areas and other areas pertaining to kitchen

Qualifications

• must be self starter
• must be able to communicate in an interdisciplinary team
• must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk and move frequently during working hours
• must be able to lift, and carry up to 30 lbs. and push or pull up to 40 lbs.
