Job summary

Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring a full-time Dishwasher at Depauw University in Greencastle, IN. Location is Hoovers Hall, with days and hours varying and weekend availability required. Pay ranges from $12.00 to $16.00 per hour, with benefits and opportunities through Compass Group.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, wash by hand or load into dishwashing machine according to equipment, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using appropriate equipment and methods, maintaining sanitation standards.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators and other prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, wash by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to the dishwashing machine according to assigned equipment. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers. Steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
