Job summary

Commonwealth Lodging Management LLC is seeking a Utility Dishwasher at Marriott Short Pump in Glen Allen, VA. The role requires operating the dishwashing machine, cleaning dishware, pots and kitchen equipment, and assisting with related tasks in a 24/7 hotel kitchen environment.

Average hourly pay ranges from $15.50 to $16.00, with physical duties such as lifting and standing for long periods as part of daily responsibilities. Previous food & beverage experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Position Summary

The utility dishwasher adheres to hotel specifications and standards in operating the dishwashing machine to wash designated restaurant and kitchenware, clean and maintain equipment and dishwashing/kitchen/compactor and storage areas. Assist in washing pots, pans and other kitchen utensils/equipment. Complete other projects as assigned. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day.

Physical Responsibilities

• Carry a large oval tray with 6 covered dinners, approximately 20 pounds.
• Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds.
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Work under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.

Qualifications

• Preferred Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or Work Equivalent.
• Preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food and beverage.
• Supervisory Experience: None.
