Chartwells School Dining Services K12 is hiring immediately for full-time DISHWASHER positions at Cranbrook Schools in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Online applications only.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM and 11:30 AM–8:00 PM, with pay of $17.00 per hour. Benefits include full health and PTO, plus an internal referral bonus. Prior dishwashing experience preferred; work is on-site at Cranbrook Schools.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse dishes and wash by hand or in the dishwasher, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays according to procedures.
• Polish silver and maintain cleaning standards across work areas.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain proper temperatures and chemical levels.
• Keep the dish area orderly and sanitary; sweep and mop floors as required.
• Assist with loading/unloading supplies and transferring equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Location: Cranbrook Schools – 39221 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304
• Schedule: Full‑time shifts: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 11:30 AM to 8 PM. Details to be discussed during interview.
• Requirements: Prior dishwashing experience preferred.
• Pay: $17.00 per hour, fixed pay rate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on a conveyor for the dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth as assigned, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
