Job summary

BERTIES RESTAURANT LLC is seeking a Dishwasher & Food Preparer to join our team. You will load the dishwasher with dirty dishes, unload clean dishes, and perform general cleaning tasks as assigned by the restaurant manager.

The ideal candidate is hardworking and reliable, with opportunities to get started in the restaurant industry. Responsibilities include preparing vegetables, poultry, and fish, removing used dishes, pre-rinsing and loading, and maintaining cleanliness.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and bending repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare vegetables, poultry and fish for production of menu items.
• Remove food from plates returned from dining room.
• Prerinse dishes, glasses, and tableware and load them into the dishwasher timely.
• Unload dishwasher and put items away in proper designated areas.
• Sweep and mop floors on demand.
• Monitor levels of detergent and cleaning supplies, restock as needed.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Perform other cleaning duties, as assigned by head chef and/or manager.
