Job summary

Fish City Grill in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Dishwasher to clean dishes, glassware and smallwares to our standards while keeping a safe, sanitary work area. You will also assist with setting and maintaining tables and supporting servers during busy periods.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and some dishwashing or busser experience; strong reading, writing and communication skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a teamwork attitude.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED preferred.
• Six months to one year minimum dishwashing and/or Busser experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.
• Able to interact professionally with other Customers and Team Members.

Responsibilities

• Clean all dishes, smallwares, and glassware within the restaurant according to standards and expectations while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area.
• Maintain the dish machine with correct maintenance and know the chemicals and levels.
• Perform the role of a Busser and assist Host by seating Customers and supporting Servers.
• Provide a clean and safe environment for Customers and maintain overall restaurant cleanliness.
• Follow All Company policies, procedures, and operating standards and notify a Manager of Customer complaints.

Responsible for cleaning all dishes, smallwares, and glassware within the restaurant according to standards and expectations while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area. Responsible for cleaning, setting and maintenance of tables.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform the role of a Dishwasher.
• Maintain the dish machine with correct maintenance.
• Know the correct chemicals and levels for the dish machine.
• Be environmentally friendly with use of dish machine.
• Clean, sanitize and store all utensils and equipment properly.
• Maintain Oyster Tags, Crawfish, and make Peel & Eat Shrimp buckets.
• Shuck Oysters using correct equipment.
• Responsible for Pull Thaw for the entire restaurant.
• Perform the role of a Busser.
• Provide a clean and safe environment for Customers.
• Be aware of surroundings.
• Maximize trips to and from the dining room, bar and dish area.
• Provide clean tables quickly, quietly, efficiently and thoroughly.
• Pre-bus continually.

Required Skills
