Job summary

IHOP is hiring for a dishwasher to support kitchen operations in Spokane. You will wash, sanitize, and maintain dishes while following IHOP SOPs and safety guidelines. A POSITIVE attitude and reliable teamwork are essential to handle busy shifts.

Ideal candidates will have basic dishwashing experience, a WA food handler permit, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours. Training will be provided for all staff roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as a dishwasher.

• Active WA food handler permit required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with IHOP team members.
• Wash, sanitize, and maintain dishes, glasses, and utensils.
• Follow dish machine or sink procedures per IHOP SOP.
• Perform cleaning duties according to SOP.
• Dispose of trash properly and keep workstation sanitary.
• Stock and rotate supplies in kitchen, prep and expo areas.
• Prepare, plate, and package food according to SOP.
• Comply with IHOP safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Adhere to IHOP uniform and appearance standards.
• Support the Restaurant Manager with assigned tasks.

Job description

The listed pay range includes tips. Employees participate in a tip pool funded by 4.5% of total sales. Non-tipped employees receive an hourly share of the tip pool based on the number of "mods" they have earned. As employees learn additional stations, they earn more mods, which increases their hourly share of the tip pool.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with IHOP Team Members.
• Pick up, sort, wash, and sanitize all glasses, dishes, cups, pots, pans, utensils, etc.
• Follow dish machine and/or sink procedures for IHOP SOP.
• Perform all cleaning duties according to SOP.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
• Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the kitchen, prep, and expo areas.
• Prepare, plate, and package food according to specifications set forth in the SOP IHOP training and manuals.
• Memorize and apply all IHOP-specialized galley terminology, plating, garnishing, packaging, menu items, procedures, galley utensils, abbreviations, and methodologies.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as with the IHOP Safety Manual and SOP health, sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines.
• Unload, un-box, rotate, and store food, equipment, and supplies, as necessary.
• Identify food that was prepared incorrectly and remedy the problem before it is delivered to the guest.
• Perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or acting supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must maintain an active WA food handler permit
