Job summary

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Bloomfield Hills is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to support our busy kitchen. You will clean and sanitize equipment, load and unload dishware, and maintain a tidy work area throughout each shift.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and following safety rules to protect colleagues and guests. Training will cover proper sanitation, equipment operation, and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to stand and walk for 8+ hours.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and correctly.
• Able to lift 25 pounds regularly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to reach items above shoulder height.

Responsibilities

• Properly clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment including knives, pots, pans, slicers, etc.
• Maintain work area, equipment and/or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Place clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in proper storage area.
• Operate all necessary and authorized equipment according to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Comply with safety and sanitation policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, postings, and manuals, etc.
• Notify management immediately of any safety or equipment issues or violations.
• Ability to work in extreme cold and wet and/or humid conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
