Job summary

Chili's in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Line Cook to support daily kitchen operations. You will prepare, cook and plate meals, maintain sanitation standards and assist teammates as needed to ensure a smooth service.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, Upholding safety policies, and assisting with prep work during shifts. The role may require nights, weekends and holidays per business needs.

Qualifications

• Stands 100% of shift.
• Lifts and carries up to 70lbs, up to 20 times per shift.
• Frequent bending and stooping.
• Works in damp, hot environment.
• Hands frequently in water and cleaning solutions.
• Handles sharp knives and hot plates safely.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides guests and team members with clean utensils, plateware, glassware, and equipment.
• Sets up dish machine in the AM and closes it in the PM.
• Maintains daily cleanliness and operation of the dish machine.
• Troubleshoots dishwasher malfunctions.
• WasheS plate-ware, glassware, silverware and pots/pans per sanitation procedures.
• Keeps the kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping and taking out trash.
• Performs sanitizing tasks throughout the shift.
• Completes assigned prep work and beautification duties.
• Participates in shift changes and opening/closing duties.
