Job summary

Pizzeria Portofino in Chicago on the riverfront is hiring dishwashers. You will wash and sanitize utensils, support back-of-house cleanliness, and help the kitchen run smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a thermometer and follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken directions.
• Work well under pressure and multitask in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty dishes.
• Wash, sanitize and dry all kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Return and restock items after washing and sanitizing.
• Operate and use dish machine and cleaning supplies.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and be a team player.
