Job summary

Shamin Hotels in Virginia Beach is hiring a full-time Dishwasher and General Utility to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes and kitchen areas. You will load and unload machines, stock supplies, and help keep the kitchen safe and organized in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Speed, accuracy and consistency.
• Customer service skills required.
• Prioritization and time management skills required.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils and other kitchen equipment.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines and wash items by hand as needed.
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins and ensure adequate clean dishes, glasses and utensils during peak hours.
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and report issues with machines.
• Sanitize the kitchen area and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
