Wegmans in Minnesota is looking for a dishwasher to keep dishes flowing and support kitchen operations. You will help ensure the staff has clean dishes and supplies to prepare our offerings, while joining a hands-on team that makes a daily impact.

Qualifications

• Dishwashing experience.
• Customer service experience, preferably in food service, grocery or retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and support kitchen operations by putting away dish loads and performing other kitchen duties as necessary, including some food prep work.
• Assist with receiving of products, stock rotation and general kitchen organization and cleanliness.

What will I do?

• Support culinary operations by washing dishes, putting away dish loads and performing other kitchen duties as necessary, including some food prep work

• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the kitchen and dishwashing area to ensure work gets completed in the most effective and safest way possible

Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes repetitive hand and arm movements, standing and walking for long periods, pivoting and trunk twisting, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, along with continuous interaction with coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 1 – 10 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 25 pounds occasionally. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate to moderately high twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction).The work environment is indoors with exposure to wet, humid conditions near hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees).Basic tools and equipment used include dishwasher, pots, pans, utensils, sink, scraper, rolling racks, and carts.; Dish washing experience; Customer service experience, preferably in food service, grocery or retail setting
