Green Top Farms is seeking a Dishwasher to join our on-site corporate cafeteria team in New York. You will keep the kitchen running by cleaning dishware, maintaining sanitation, and supporting the culinary team throughout service.

Position Overview

The Dishwasher is a key member of our back-of-house team at a corporate client's on-site cafeteria. You keep the kitchen running: clean smallware, cookware, and service ware ready when the culinary team and service line need them, and a sanitary, organized dish area throughout the day. While this role is not guest-facing, it takes pride in quiet reliability, and the cleanliness and pace you maintain directly shape the guest experience. You'll work in a professional corporate setting and represent Green Top Farms on the client's premises.

Responsibilities

Dish & Equipment Cleaning (40%)

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and serviceware from breakfast, lunch, and grab-and-go service
• Clean cooking equipment such as sheet pans, pots, mixing bowls, hotel pans, and food processor parts, not just plates and flatware
• Operate the commercial dish machine and three-compartment sink, using proper chemical concentrations and sanitation procedures
• Inspect items after washing to make sure no food residue, stains, or water spots remain

Sanitation & Kitchen Cleanliness (25%)

• Keep the dish area, prep areas, and kitchen floors clean, organized, and free of slip hazards throughout service
• Remove and sort trash, recycling, and compost according to the client site's requirements
• Assist with scheduled deep cleaning of the kitchen, including equipment, drains, and storage areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, including our Sanitation Policy and health department requirements

Breakdown & Space Restoration (15%)

• Complete end-of-service breakdown efficiently while minimizing noise in the client's shared space
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, sweep, and mop as needed
• Make sure all equipment is cleaned and put away in its designated place

Kitchen Support & Stocking (10%)

• Restock clean smallware, service pans, and utensils so the culinary team and service line never run short
• Assist in receiving and putting away deliveries
• Move carts and equipment through kitchen and service areas quickly and safely

Communication & Coordination (10%)

• Communicate clearly and concisely with the Dining Lead and kitchen team to keep service moving
• Conduct yourself professionally on the client's premises
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support business priorities and successful service

Qualifications: Required Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen, cafeteria, restaurant, or high-volume dish operation
• Ability to work quickly and stay organized during peak service
• Comfort working with cleaning chemicals and around wet or slippery surfaces
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs and stand for long periods
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable, with a professional demeanor suited to a corporate environment
• Willingness to travel to different client locations as needed
• A commitment to personal accountability and continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

• NYC Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one within the first month
• Experience in enterprise workplace dining or corporate catering
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemical handling
• Experience with cross-training across front-of-house and back-of-house roles
