Job summary

The Bartolotta Restaurants in Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to ensure wares for the front and back of the house are clean and sanitized. This critical role supports culinary and service teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will wash all wares, store and stock supplies, assist with basic prep as needed, and uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in line with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Wash all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses by hand or using dishwashers.
• Correctly place and store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
• Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Clean trash receptacles with water or steam.
• Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to the work area by hand or using hand trucks.
• May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving as directed.
• Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

• Restaurant experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
• Prolonged periods walking or standing.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 60 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
• Must frequently immerse hands in water.
• Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.
