Job summary

Benihana in Miami, FL is seeking a hands-on Dishwasher to support our kitchen team and ensure spotless dishware and clean back-of-house operations. You will help maintain sanitation standards, assist with basic prep tasks, and work closely with the BOH staff to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.

Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and able to stand for long periods while lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a kitchen support role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and consistently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in dishwashing areas and storage spaces.
• Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical stocking.
• Assist with trash removal and proper waste disposal.
• Keep floors and workstations clean and hazard-free.
• Store kitchen tools and equipment properly and ready for use.
• Collaborate with BOH team to support smooth service.
• Follow health department sanitation requirements and safety guidelines.
• Assist with basic prep work and food handling as needed.
• Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism.

What You'll Do
