Job summary

Zinc Café & Market in Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to support the kitchen team. You will operate and maintain dish station equipment, load and unload the dish machine, and ensure cleanliness of sinks and ware. You will follow safety protocols and help manage cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities include monitoring wash cycles, labeling and storing chemicals safely, and collaborating with the kitchen staff to maintain a smooth operation during busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in using and maintaining all dish station equipment
• Load, run and unload dish machine
• Keep the dish machine & sinks clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Monitor dish machine & sink water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Wash and store all kitchenware, baskets and crates. Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies. Properly label, replenish and store chemicals
• Use the proper chemicals for each job while maintain safety for yourself and those around you
• Keep dish room & storage clean and organized
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and embody an environment of teamwork
• Handle varying levels of business volume with composure & a positive attitude
• Perform all opening and closing duties assigned by managers
• Follow all safety and state guidelines for preventing transmission of Covid-19 and other illnesses
