Job summary

Division Hilton Indianapolis is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment, supporting a safe and efficient dining operation.

Responsibilities include sweeping, washing dishes by hand or in the dish machine, cleaning surfaces, handling trash, and assisting with banquet setup. A HS Diploma and background check are required.

• Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and remove trash; clean garbage cans.

• Polish silver as required.
• Move supplies between storage and work areas; use a hand truck when needed.
• Set up banquet tables when required.
• Wash and peel vegetables using knife or peeler when required.
• Store clean utensils and rotate stock in designated areas.

Description

The Dishwasher will ensure the cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, as well as the proper maintenance of restaurant equipment and utensils, promoting a safe and efficient environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floor once every hour as needed.
• Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine. Washes pots, pans, and trays by hand. Runs glasses through dish machine twice.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Separates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers; steam-cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Sorts bottles, and breaks disposable ones in bottle-crushing machine.
• Polishes silver, using burnishing-machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth, if required.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of hand truck.
• Sets up banquet tables, when required.
• Washes and peels vegetables using knife or peeling machine, when required.
• Puts away all clean utensils; puts away & rotates stock in designated areas

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
