Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain clean dishes and keep the kitchen running smoothly. You will ensure items meet wash criteria, assist with trash and linen handling, and support a clean, safe dining environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year BOH experience, are team players, and may be bilingual English/Spanish. This position offers health benefits, paid time off, and holiday closures. Outback Steakhouse is part of the family of restaurants.

Qualifications

• 1+ year BOH experience in full-service restaurant preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Team player with the ability to work varied shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in hot/cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils.
• Practice food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Restock kitchen and cook line as needed during shift.
• Perform general restaurant cleaning tasks.
• Pace and organize dish execution efficiently.
• Operate dish machine and manage chemical levels safely.
• Change water/chemicals as required.
• Keep floors, plates, and smallwares clean and dry.
• Inspect areas to ensure health and safety regulations.
• Correct unsafe practices and notify management.

Come join the Outback family as a Dishwasher, where you will be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the dishes and small wares at the restaurant. Dishwashers are also responsible for trash disposal and linen bag removal. A Dishwasher will make sure the washed items meet the rinse and wash temperature criteria for each state. As a Dishwasher, you'll help to provide each customer with an AUS-SOME dining experience in the restaurant, that makes each Guests Day better, by showcasing our food on perfectly clean plates and silverware.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining organization and flow, while washing dishes and utensils.
• Practicing food safety and sanitation.
• Restocking kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift.
• General cleaning of the restaurant.
• Pace and organization of Dish execution.
• Clear understanding and full knowledge of how the dish machine runs, and all its chemical components.
• Understanding procedures for changing out water and chemicals as needed.
• Keeping the floors clean and dry.
• Keeping the plates and smallware’s clean.
• Maintains and inspects food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
• Corrects unsafe practices or conditions, notifies management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+year BOH experience in full-service restaurant preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Team player
• Must be available to work a variety of opens, swings and closes.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
• Vision abilities to include distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus.
• Regular use of hands to finger handles or feels objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
