Job summary

Whiskey Joe's Manatee River is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in our fast-paced kitchen. You will wash, sanitize, and prep all dishes, glassware, utensils and cookware for staff and guests.

You'll troubleshoot dishwashing equipment, sort items for efficient cleaning, and help with basic food prep during peak periods, while strictly following health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, ensuring all items are spotless and ready for use. Utilize industrial dishwashing equipment, detergents, and sanitizers.
• Be proactive in troubleshooting and addressing any issues that may arise with dishwashing machines to minimize disruptions.
• Sort dishes and utensils by category, size, shape, or material to maximize cleaning efficiency. Ensure proper loading into machines for optimal results.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and equipment. Keep all dishes neatly stored in their designated locations.
• During peak service periods, assist with various kitchen tasks such as food prep or plating to support kitchen efficiency.
• Strictly adhere to health and safety standards, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and wearing protective gear. Help prevent the spread of disease through diligent sanitization practices.
• Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management of any shortages to ensure continuous operation.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure clean dishes are available for chefs and servers, supporting a smooth and efficient service.
