Job summary

Sodexo at Whitworth University is seeking a Dishwasher to support kitchen and facility operations while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across food production and service areas. You will clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, floors and storage spaces, while assisting with basic set-up and breakdown tasks.

The role requires the ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and follow food safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies and assists with setup and breakdown tasks.
• Walks/stands for extended periods and lifts up to 50 pounds as needed.

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces; transporting and storing supplies; and assisting with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position.
