Job summary

Makeready is seeking a dependable kitchen associate at Hank's Seafood in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on keeping the kitchen clean, organizing the back of house, and assisting with food preparation as needed, ensuring sanitation and smooth service.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading dishwashing machines, hand washing items, restocking clean dishes, and monitoring machine performance; teamwork and efficiency are essential to meet peak hours while upholding the guiding principles of our

• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen areas.
• Supports with food prep as needed.
• Keeps back-of-house organized and systems in place.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash items by hand (cutting boards, pots, china).
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment.
• Ensure sufficient quantity of clean dishware during peak hours.
• Report any issues with dishwashing equipment promptly.

This individual is a crucial part of the kitchen. This person knows that a successful culinary experience can only be created with sanitized and well-maintained equipment and facilities. Their primary role is to maintain a clean kitchen, properly organize the restaurant and back of house area, and assists with the preparation of food as need.

Requested Tasks

• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate China)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
