Job summary

CookUnity in Chicago is seeking a dedicated kitchen helper to support busy kitchens with dishwashing, sanitation, and basic cleanup. You will operate dishwashing machines, restock supplies, and help keep floors and surfaces clean to maintain food-safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware, ensuring that they are clean and sanitized in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and other work areas, ensuring they are free from debris and food residue.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Sort and store clean dishes and utensils in the appropriate areas.
• Assist in the removal of trash and recycling, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and free of waste.
• Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and supplies.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Restock cleaning supplies and ensure that all equipment is operational.

All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Pay Range for this position
