Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to keep kitchen and dining wares clean and sanitized. You’ll be the backbone that keeps the kitchen running smoothly while supporting fellow staff.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading the dish machine, monitoring water temperature, maintaining supplies, and disposing of dish room waste. A flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Able to assist fellow staff and work as a team player.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.

THE ROLE

As a dishwasher, you will ensure that cooking and table wares for the kitchen and dining room are clean and sanitized. You will be the backbone that keeps the whole kitchen running.

What we will ask of you:

• Load, run and unload dish machine while keeping dish room clean and organized
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents, cleaning supplies, and clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times
