Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living is seeking a Dishwasher for Ivy Park at Cerritos, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group. The role supports meal service by cleaning, sanitizing, and returning dishes to storage, with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

Required are 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background and health screenings. The position offers competitive pay and benefits across a California-based network.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening (including physical and TB tests).
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport dishes to kitchen after meals; wash, sanitize, and store properly.
• Assist with kitchen clean-up and sanitation of dish room, kitchen, dining areas, drains; take out trash.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints professionally.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.

The Dishwasher

is responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to the kitchen, cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored at all times, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up. Perform general clean-up and sanitation clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
