Job summary

The Ivy Cherry Hills is part of Ivy Living and seeks a dedicated Dishwasher to join our senior living community. You will work weekends and evenings, returning dishes, keeping the dish area clean, and supporting the kitchen team during busy service times.

Responsibilities include prepping the dish room, transporting and sanitizing dishes, assisting with kitchen breakdown, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff. Benefits are available per the employer's program.

Qualifications

• Prefer six months of experience in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal communication to interact with staff, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (TB, etc.).
• May require vaccination and adherence to PPE/COVID-19 safety guidelines.

• Transport dishes to the kitchen after meals; wash and sanitize; return to storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen and general clean-up of dish room, kitchen, dining areas, sinks and drains.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe environment, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to the kitchen, cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored at all times, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up. Perform general clean-up and sanitation clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
